Urban Christian Ministries (UCM) runs an annual week-long residential Bible Camp in Bliss, NY filled with fun, games, Bible lessons, arts & crafts, and the great outdoors. For one week, the youth will focus on their relationship with Jesus Christ.

UCM of Buffalo, NY, is looking to fill the volunteer position of Camp Nurse. Within this one-week session, taking place on the second week of each August, the camp nurse will not only enjoy the outdoor setting, but will provide healthcare for those in attendance, residents, and staff alike. The camp nurse should be able to combine their nursing practice with the compassion and love that Christ shows to everyone. The Nurses Station is equipped by UCM with the nurse’s assistance, to address most needs and those we have experienced over the years. Qualifications for camp nurse:

 • 1 year experience in an acute or ambulatory care setting preferred

• BLS certification

• Able to stand, walk, and sit frequently

• Able to lift/carry 0-10 lbs. frequently

• Able to push/pull 0-20 lbs. frequently

• Able to reach constantly

• Able to use hands for simple/firm grasping
